Consolidated database on agricultural and other relevant statistics
This report addresses activities and findings related to Database 1 (Deliverable 1.1) – consolidated database on agricultural and other relevant statistics for AGRICISTRADE countries. The first part of the report is dedicated to data collection, processing and qualification. The second part gives an overview of the database creation process. The report ends with general conclusions and proposed steps if recollection or updating of the data for AGRICISTRADE countries would be considered in the future.

The paper gives an overview of policy database creation, starting from a brief explanation of our general approach, a description of the template used for policy inventory, the data collection and revision process of draft datasets, as well as a technical presentation of how the policy database is organised and its content. At the end, some future steps for further upgrading of the consolidated databases on support to agriculture are outlined.

CIS exports to Russia since the Russian import ban: the paper

The aim of this presentation is to show trends in CIS exports to Russia since the Russian government implemented an import ban on EU meat, dairy, vegetables and fruit products on 7 August 2014. The overview looks at the effects the Russian sanctions had on the exports of the neighbouring countries studied in the AGRICISTRADE project to the Russian Federation: did Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Ukraine benefit from the fact that Russia closed its borders for EU products?
