By Siemen Van Berkum, LEI Wageningen. The aim of this presentation is to show trends in CIS exports to Russia since the Russian government implemented an import ban on EU meat, dairy, vegetables and fruit products on 7 August 2014. The overview looks at the effects the Russian sanctions had on the exports of the neighbouring countries studied in the AGRICISTRADE project to the Russian Federation: did Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Ukraine benefit from the fact that Russia closed its borders for EU products?
