Organizer: Euroquality
The kick-off meeting was attended by all the project partners, as well as representatives of DG Agri and OECD. Its main objectives were the following:
- Learn about the context of AGRICISTRADE and about the expectations of the EC and the project partners
- Restate the objectives of the project and establish a good understanding of the deliverables and related research of the AGRICISTRADE Work Packages and Tasks
- Identify interactions (in data and research) in each Work Package and Task, and establish common research strategies for the interdependent tasks
- Identify the main risks and develop strategies for addressing these risks
This meeting was also the occasion to present recent trade developments between the EU and the 8 countries, to present a first evaluation of the availability of statistics, and to discuss the major gaps in data availability and quality
